Descended from ancient English and French royal lineages, Thiago Lamont holds, according to family tradition, the title of Grand Prince (His Imperial Highness) as a cadet member of the Royal House of MacDonnell Lamont Couto d’ Chandos, as well as Count of Aosta. Among the historic distinctions he has inherited is the title of Prince du Sang (styled Monsieur le Prince), reserved for direct descendants of Robert II of France.

Toward Castle - Lamont Castle. It was a castle fit for the most distinguished of guests, and even Mary Queen of Scots herself visited the Lamonts at their striking home in 1563.
Within the traditions of the Scottish Highlands, he is recognized as “The Great MacLamont of all Cowal,” in his capacity as chieftain of a cadet branch of the Clan Lamont of Lacerda, associated with Carrick Castle in western Scotland.
